About Lauren

Oh, hi there! If you’re on this page it’s probably because you are asking yourself “Self, who the fu*# is Lauren Reeves?!” Well, I have the answer to that question. I’m pretty much the most knowledgable person on the subject matter actually, so you’ve come to the right place! Look, here is the mugshot the FBI uses of me:

Now onto business… For starters, I’m just another one of those girls who was born and raised on a gold mine in Fairbanks, Alaska but I’ve spent the last 8 years living in New York City.

You may be like “Alright Lauren, what exactly do you do with your life?” Don’t worry, I ask myself the same question every single day.

My whole thing is to entertain people. Lately, I’ve been spending most of my time working on my own projects and collaborating on projects with my talented friends.

Here’s something exciting: I have a show coming out on National Geographic called “Goldfathers”. I shot it last summer with my fam fam (that means Family for all you white people). It premiers May 4th on Nat Geo (like I said, duh) at 10:00pm. I really hope you guys watch it because I want to be nominated for “best dressed gold miner of the year” which would mean a lot to me.

I also perform comedy. I am a classically trained improviser from Upright Citizens Brigade Theater, or UCB if you’re unfamiliar with common comedy slang. I’ve performed in a bunch of shows there throughout the years and have studied under top notch improvisers that you’ve seen all over your TV! Yay!

Sometimes I will appear in comedy sketches on late night television programs. I played a bunch of different characters on Conan O’Brien when he was still in New York. I’ve also been on David Letterman like a billion times as characters such as “The Hooters Girl” or “Spitzer’s Mistress” or “Swedish Ambassador”. And I played the NBC Page on Jimmy Fallon for awhile, which was great for me.

Maybe you’ve also caught me acting in comedy videos for College Humor, Jest, UCB Comedy, Landline TV, or Comedy Central.

I pretty much do all sorts of TV work. Like when I appeared on Guiding Light or All My Children. Or that time I was cast as a reporter on Law & Order. Or the commercials I’ve done throughout the years (Are you a big huge company? If so, the answer is yes, I will star in your commercial, please and thank you).

Whoa, I almost forgot to mention how I am really into hosting! I was a reporter and anchor for both NBC and ABC affiliates for 3 damn years and now I host the show Chic TV and my super funny internet series Derailed.

I’ve interviewed lots of people in my day. Including politicians like: George Bush (the old one, not the new one), Sarah Palin (Fun fact: Sarah mentions me in her book Going Rogue), Current Alaska Senator Mark Begich and former Senator Ted Stevens (dead. plane crash go boom in the mountains.)

In the pop culture world I guess some of my favorite interviews were with people like Isabella Rossellini, Adriana Lima, Amare Stoudemire, Oscar de la Renta, Tommy Hilfiger, Jessica Biel, Adam Lambert… I could keep name dropping but it’s time to move on.

One of the things I love doing the most is pranking people for the group Improv Everywhere. My good friend Charlie Todd is the mastermind and founder behind IE and has asked me to be in so many great videos like “Ted’s Birthday” where I play “Ted’s” ex-girlfriend or “Best Funeral Ever” or “No Pants Subway Ride” or “Welcome Back” and so many more. I’m also in the upcoming Improv Everywhere Documentary! So if you ever see Agent Reeves in one of these pranks, it’s me!

I’m gonna wrap this up soon but I think one last thing I should mention since we’re being honest, is sometimes I work as a model. I’ve toured the country modeling for L’Oreal, sometimes I’m in print ads, I’ve also been in lots of those magazines people like to read like Glamour, German Glamour, Vogue, Australian Vogue, Vogue China, Brides Magazine, Martha Stewart Bridal, omg I’m getting carried away again, I’ll stop.

I really hope you guys have a better sense of who I am as a person now. If you have any questions, hit me up on the “Ask Me Anything” portion of my website. If you want to hire me for a hosting job or acting job or even a modeling job, you should hit up my agent at About Face. Her information is on the “Contact Lauren” portion of my website.

One last thing: If you want to send me a gift, I really enjoy Scotch, Gin, Candy, Clothes, and Money. And don’t worry, I accept presents year round, not just on my birthday or Christmas. My agent will make sure I get it.

Bye you guys! Thanks for hanging in there and reading this whole thing. I’m gonna go rollerblade now. Bye again.
